Session Information:

  • There is growing recognition about the role of physical activity and exercise in cancer recovery which is reflected in recent national and international guidelines. Despite this, access to specialized exercise programs for people with cancer is poor and physical therapists often lack confidence prescribing exercise to this population.
  • In this webinar entitled, “Where are we now? The status of exercise-based cancer rehabilitation world-wide”, we will provide an overview about the status of exercise-based cancer rehabilitation and hear success stories of real-world implementation of cancer rehabilitation in Australia, Ireland, and Israel. The presentation will conclude with a panel discussion about how to implement cancer rehabilitation in a local context.
